Several years ago, Wilford Darden, director of Jesus is Alpha and Omega Ministries (JAOM) sat down with Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers, to discuss the teachings of the Nation of Islam in what would have been considered a radical discussion on public access television. More recently, the two men have met again in the studio to revisit the history and validity of the teachings of Wallace Fard, Louis Farrakhan, and the Nation of Islam in an effort dispel myths and reach out to Black Muslims with Biblical truth for the cause of Christ.

This video is the first of a new three part series revisiting and exposing the differences between the teachings of the Nation of Islam and those of Christianity. In this video the biblical lip service of the Nation of Islam is exposed in a discussion about Who is God. If you are in the Nation of Islam and this video leads you to seek answers about the truth, please contact us.

The Overall strategy first, is to engage the culture ...

Believers for the Return of Biblical Values to Society

The Overall strategy first, is to engage the culture by developing powerful and effective believers who become powerful and effective families that will stand up for God’s original intentions for time and eternity in the work place and the community

Secondly, to take on three challenges (The Homosexual movement, Thug culture and the false religious movements) because they threaten to influence the church and society with an aggressive approach of deception and ungodliness. We have taken them on by developing allies that seek to heal their wounds then evangelize and disciple those that want it.

Finally take the fight to the air- waves by purchasing radio and Television time to expose the ideology of the selected group.

"Apologetics" simply means to give a reason

While the word Apologetics may be unfamiliar to many lay Christians, it simply means to give a reason why you believe what you believe. Apologetics is a direct derivative from the Greek word used in 1 Peter 3:15 where we are told,

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. - 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)

This is the approach quite often used by Jesus when he was engaged by opposition. For instance, when He is asked is it lawful to pay taxes unto Caesar? Jesus apologetically responded, “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” The apostles used this approach as well. An example of this is in Acts 17 when Paul reasons to the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers on idol-redden Mars Hill, saying, if God made you, than how can you be making gods with your own hands? To this end we employ the method of teaching people to think through, re-affirm, and memorize scripture that teaches what they believe as Christians, so that when they encounter opposition to their faith, they will be ready with an answer.

We have learned that a good defense is also an effective offense, and it is the most practical way for the average person to become both confident and active in sharing his or her faith. Christian apologetics builds personal confidence, motivation, and security. It is the sentiment of the writer of Hebrews, saying, “by this time you ought to be teachers (Hebrews 5:12).” Our single goal is to see individual Christians actively communicating what they believe and why they believe it on a regular basis.

This program empowers the believer with the skills...

This program empowers the believer with the skills of evangelism, discipleship, and apologetics so they are able to influence and impact the cultural challenges that are threatening the Godly standards of our day.

The Challenge: Apathy in the Body of Christ

We live in day when the average believer is losing interest in advancing the cause of Christ in the work place and the community. We must educate and equip the average believer on the anti- Christ belief systems that are threatening our biblical values in the market place of ideas
The Project: Educate and equip the public through JAOM Resources

We have launch a grassroots campaign to empower, educate and equip believers on the anti- Christ belief systems that are advancing their cause against our faith by distributing DVD and video tapes on selected cults and false religions along with a book and web sites that serves as references for exposing the deception while increasing the understanding of our biblical position

Update: The program was originally developed in October of 2005. Since then we have distributed 24 packets to individuals and churches that have committed to the program. The first month’s resources covered the Jehovah’s Witnesses. We received a praise report from one of our participants that was able to use the information in the packet to bring reconciliation to a very sensitive matter in his church

. Another participant with a Roman Catholic background read the book Reasoning From the Scriptures with Jehovah’s Witnesses. This book answered questions that he never thought of concerning the historic Christian faith. The packets are a 50.00 donation to JAOM and we request that if you are interested in participating that you sign up for at least a year. The packet for this month (February) is on The Catholic Church. We are witnessing this campaign strengthen the faith of the believer by expanding their discernment so they can draw a line in the sand concerning spiritual truths and share the gospel through apologetics (giving reasons for their faith).

The exciting element of this program is that every one of the participants of this ministry has been wounded by the religiosity of our day and was thinking about retiring from the faith but now they have found their place in the work of the Lord and starting to make a difference in their circles of influence for time and eternity. We also have eight (8) new participants in the Back to the Basic studies. It is encouraging to see the new life in those who have hungered to know what they believe and why. So we are actually seeing our objective of moving believers from apathy to becoming powerful and effective in serving the Lord at work.
