Equipping the Saints for Outreach Coalition (ESOC)
Equipping the Saints for Outreach Coalition (ESOC) is a network of individuals, churches, non-profit organizations, businesses, and educational institutions, working to return moral adn family values through outreach for the betterment of society.
ESOC was formed to approach evangelism and outreach with a methodology that is effective in this busy and aggressive age that the Christian lives in today. Every Christian and the Christian Church, is commissioned to reach the lost world, and to bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. ESOC can equip the Christian Body with the confidence and technique in these sophisticated times. ESOC is equipped and prepared to assist pastors in their structures to prepare their members for effective outreach.
ESOC is not only a coalition equipped to prepare saints with confidence in evangelism, but it is also aggressively standing and fighting against social practices that are disruptive and destructive to the Christian family – such as homosexuality, lesbianism, same sex marriage and the adoption of children into such arena. ESOC is a coalition of believers determined to expose to the Church and society, the truth from the Word of God concerning these demoralizing ungodly practices that are set to tear apart and crumble the fiber of our Spiritual Heritage – the family and our Christian values.
The Problem
The chaos that we are experiencing in the African-American culture is due to the devaluing of family values that were once a basic standard for a moral foundation in our society. These basic principles are found in the Ten Commandments.
These principles were not just religious, but relational, glue that held family, business, and social life together. Commandments, such as “you shall not kill, steal, lie, commit adultery, covet,” as well as other commandments, such as “husbands love your wives, wives submit to your husbands, children obey your parents, work as unto the Lord and not to man, love one another as I have loved you,” were biblical values that were instilled in the belief system of our forefathers. These are now being devalued.
Since the biblical values that have historically shaped the moral thinking on our culture are being devalued, as a result there is an upsurge of immoral standards and lifestyles that empower the drive for personal pleasure without any cultural accountability as a norm in our society. If this problem continues, it will destroy the basic ideology of what constitutes right and wrong in the African-American community.
Dr. Wilford Darden is the founder of ESOC and is well equipped to minister to pastors, groups, adn even individuals in any area of evangelism and world views. He is a powerful resource for teaching and exposing false religions and cults.
