This program empowers the believer with the skills of evangelism, discipleship, and apologetics so they are able to influence and impact the cultural challenges that are threatening the Godly standards of our day.
The Challenge: Apathy in the Body of Christ
We live in day when the average believer is losing interest in advancing the cause of Christ in the work place and the community. We must educate and equip the average believer on the anti- Christ belief systems that are threatening our biblical values in the market place of ideas
The Project: Educate and equip the public through JAOM Resources
We have launch a grassroots campaign to empower, educate and equip believers on the anti- Christ belief systems that are advancing their cause against our faith by distributing DVD and video tapes on selected cults and false religions along with a book and web sites that serves as references for exposing the deception while increasing the understanding of our biblical position
Update: The program was originally developed in October of 2005. Since then we have distributed 24 packets to individuals and churches that have committed to the program. The first month’s resources covered the Jehovah’s Witnesses. We received a praise report from one of our participants that was able to use the information in the packet to bring reconciliation to a very sensitive matter in his church
. Another participant with a Roman Catholic background read the book Reasoning From the Scriptures with Jehovah’s Witnesses. This book answered questions that he never thought of concerning the historic Christian faith. The packets are a 50.00 donation to JAOM and we request that if you are interested in participating that you sign up for at least a year. The packet for this month (February) is on The Catholic Church. We are witnessing this campaign strengthen the faith of the believer by expanding their discernment so they can draw a line in the sand concerning spiritual truths and share the gospel through apologetics (giving reasons for their faith).
The exciting element of this program is that every one of the participants of this ministry has been wounded by the religiosity of our day and was thinking about retiring from the faith but now they have found their place in the work of the Lord and starting to make a difference in their circles of influence for time and eternity. We also have eight (8) new participants in the Back to the Basic studies. It is encouraging to see the new life in those who have hungered to know what they believe and why. So we are actually seeing our objective of moving believers from apathy to becoming powerful and effective in serving the Lord at work.
